Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: June 10, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) applies to everyone who accesses Propal — free users, paid subscribers, trial users, developers using our APIs, and anyone interacting with our community features. By using Propal you agree to these rules in addition to our Terms of Service. Breaking them can lead to content removal, feature restrictions, suspension, or permanent termination of your account.

1. Don't harm other people

Zero tolerance for harassment, hate speech, threats of violence, stalking, doxxing, or non-consensual sharing of intimate imagery. We strictly prohibit:

  • Sexual content involving minors — reported to NCMEC and law enforcement.
  • Content that promotes self-harm, suicide, eating disorders or extreme dieting.
  • Targeted harassment based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected characteristic.

2. Don't break the law

No illegal activity of any kind, including sale of regulated goods, money laundering, terrorism, human trafficking, or sharing of stolen credentials. Don't upload content you don't have the right to share — see our DMCA & Copyright Policy for how copyright owners can report infringement.

3. Don't abuse the platform

Protect the integrity of Propal and our infrastructure:

  • No scraping, crawling, or bulk data extraction without written permission.
  • No automated account creation, credential stuffing, or brute-force attacks.
  • No reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to derive source code.
  • No probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of our systems without participating in our responsible disclosure program.
  • No denial-of-service, rate-limit bypass, or anything that degrades service for others.

4. Play fair — no cheating

Gamification only works if everyone plays by the rules. You must not:

  • Submit fake workouts, GPS spoofing, or synthetic device data.
  • Use scripts, bots or modified clients to gain XP, quests, or leaderboard placement.
  • Operate multiple accounts to manipulate rankings or referral rewards.
  • Trade, sell, or buy Propal accounts, badges or in-game items outside of our platform.

5. No spam, malware or deceptive content

No unsolicited promotion, bulk messaging, phishing, malware or virus distribution, deceptive affiliate behavior, or misleading clickbait in usernames, bios or quest descriptions.

6. Respect other people's privacy

Don't share another person's personal information — including photos, real name, location, contact details or health data — without their explicit consent. Group challenges and friend feeds are not a license to expose private information.

7. Developer and API use

If you use the Propal API, you must respect rate limits, store user data securely, allow users to delete their data on request, and never sell or transfer user data to third parties. Misuse will result in API key revocation.

8. Reporting violations

If you see content or behavior that breaks this policy, report it here or use the in-app report button. We review every report, typically within 24 hours, and we never share the identity of the reporter with the reported user.

9. Enforcement and appeals

Depending on the severity and history, we may issue a warning, remove content, restrict features (e.g. leaderboard or social), suspend the account temporarily, or terminate the account permanently. Serious violations — especially those involving minors, threats, or fraud — may be reported to the relevant authorities.

If you believe enforcement was a mistake, you can appeal by replying to the enforcement email within 30 days. We'll review and respond, typically within 5 business days.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this AUP as new types of abuse emerge or our product evolves. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version. Continued use of Propal after changes means you accept the updated policy.
