Different unit of measurement
Strava's unit is the activity: a run, a ride, a segment. That is excellent for endurance athletes who care about individual efforts and routes.
Propal's unit is the week. Everything you do — runs and rides synced from Strava, plus strength sessions logged in the app — rolls into a single Propal Score for that week, and that score is what places you on the leaderboard.
Consistency is weighted above volume
In a distance-led feed, the biggest effort wins. In Propal, spreading training across more days scores higher than compressing the same minutes into one session, and daily caps limit how much any single day can contribute.
If your goal is a habit rather than a personal record, that weighting matches what you're actually trying to build.
Competition with a finish line
Propal's leaderboard runs on a weekly cycle with a visible countdown, a top-three podium, and rank movement between weeks. You can scope it by role or by city rather than competing against the entire platform.
Because it resets, there is a fresh finish line every seven days instead of an all-time table you'll never reach the top of.
Strength training counts
Logged strength sessions, sets and reps sit alongside synced cardio, and estimated one-rep-max progress is tracked from what you log. A week of lifting is not invisible.
Keep Strava, add Propal
Connect Strava from Settings using Strava's own authorisation flow. Propal reads activity type, duration, distance and timestamps. It does not post to your Strava feed, and you can disconnect at any time.
